Mavruglio: This NEMA member is THE definition of NEMA: he
is the racer, the mechanic, the crew chief. He has cultivated
drivers to join the club, and he is there to help anyone who
needs it. I have dealt with this first hand so I know. His
family lives NEMA. He was the man that gave my brother Shane his
first thrill ride in a NEMA Midget. He took care of my mother and I after that tragic day. I can't thank him enough for being there for us. It wasn't just my mom and I that this impacted. I can't imagine how hard it was for him also. He was with my brother for many long nights mentoring him. So all of our hearts where broken, but I'm happy we were all there together. Shane is definitely very happy for you to finally get this award. He looked at you as a father, and your entire family embraced him. Glen Cabral you are THE MAN. Not only did you give my brother his first Midget ride, but you gave me mine also. I will never forget that, and I am so thankful that you gave us both that opportunity. And I am proud to say that I was the first driver to give you your first NEMA LITES win. Thank you for all you have done for both my mom and I but also for NEMA. So Glen, I would be honored for you to come up and accept this award. |
